I’m Mike, a Caltech alum and former NASA employee who now tutors middle-school and high-school students in the U.S. Computing Olympiad (USACO).
My teaching philosophy
Over 9 years of teaching computer science (the last 2 dedicated to USACO) I have developed a teaching style that empowers students to have their own insights.
I encourage and praise my students for what they do right.
I maintain a focus on the big picture as well as the details.
I give my students chances to have their own insights and tools to help them become better teachers to themselves.
